Dances and festivals are very popular in Puerto Morelos 

February 19  is the patron saint day "San José Obrero"
Beginnings of March Carnival celebrations.

June 1 , "The Marine day" , with a tournament of sport fishing, very well-known at international level. This competition lasts 2 days attracting from all over the world to great quantity of participants. 

Besides the fishing, there are different activities in the central park  ( bikini contest, careers, ...etc two whole days of parties!!).
